Takashimaya stinks

First, don’t get me wrong. I am a frequent shopper at the Takashimaya in Singapore. I love the mall. It’s one mall that combines my need of a great bookstore (Kinokuniya), a gym, a good grocery shopping place and a tasteful departmental store. Oh, don’t forget the friendly and comforting foot reflexalogy joint, as well as the library.

However, I am certain there are those who will agree with me that Takashimaya (or factually, I guess I should call it Ngee Ann City) stinks. To get to the bus stop on Orchard Boulevard, we have to walk on a path that is right at the back of a Japanese restaurant, Sushi Tei. I am not sure if it is due to the restaurant, or it is a rubbish dump. That area just before you get to cross the road ALWAYS stinks.

I have, in the past months, mentioned it to the information counter at Ngee Ann City, as well as the customer service counter at Takashimaya. For a good mall, I reckon they will be interested to ensure that the visitors’ experience is satisfying, totally… What’s the point of running good promotions, get good anchor tenant stores when they don’t ensure great shopping experience?

Wake up! Takashimaya, Ngee Ann City… whatever…
