Christmas… all over again!

You know what is the best part of Christmas? It’s giving and receiving presents! Sure, the decorations at the shopping mall are great, but since I live in a tropical country, there’s really no white Christmas to be joyous of. In fact, I hate the rain during this season, dampen all the mood for shopping…

So, Christmas is like 20 days over, ya? So what is this about Christmas all over again?! Well, because I got to unwrap my presents just now! And they are all presents that I love!

The deal is… a friend is visiting from US. He very kindly offered to bring back anything that I wanna buy from US, as he’ll need to carry an empty suitcase here to bring stuff back to US.

Now, I have one whole suitcase to buy stuff… what do I want?

Victoria’s Secret.. erm… is it okay to ask a guy to carry such stuff? What if he needed to open the stuff for custom to check? Ok… nah…

What about the cool Nine West shoes that went out of stock here? The flats and sneakers that can be folded into two, and came with their own carrying case? Perfect for my upcoming trip to Macau! <Click, click>… <submit order>

Hmm… and my annual necessity – Franklin Covey. Time to get a new binder. And while I am at it, I might as well order for a new convert (a colleague whom I managed to persuade to go FC). <Click, click>… <submit order>

Hey… what about Coach? Buying Coach in US is over 30% off the local price! Even after the tax and the frieght. I always bitched about not having an “interview-quality” handbag anyway… so I pulled my colleague with me to go check out the style available. And after 4 visits to the local stall… <click, click>… <submit order>

So just now, I collected the stuff from my friend. He carried them all in the boxes they came in when I did the online order. So there were 4 brown boxes. I rushed home and happily ripped the boxes apart. Ooh… everything is just so nice, and so right! Merry Christmas to me!!!!

PS: In case some of you wonder what the big deal is… after all, I was the one doing the purchase… Well, there were times when I do online ordering, and the goods just don’t look as good as what’s on the website. I am sure if you do purchase on auction, or first hand at Amazon or any e-Commerce portal, you’ll have similar experience. So… my point being I’m so totally happy with this order, I can’t wipe off that smile on my face!
